With big thanks to Marc Robbins & his helpful blog post regarding a similar experience he had with his A4. END RESULT: $5.00 Sylvania replacement bulb & a $4.00 “star” shaped screwdriver, 10 minutes easy labor, headlight is as good as new! Thanks again Marc for the helpful instructions, although on an 2001 A6, you can skip the reach for the flat screws! They were not there in my 2.7T. YOU ROCK MARC!
$80.00 to replace a headlight bulb in my Audi A6…….NOT!

Ditto – if you’ve got extra notes besides Marc’s comments (for A6 2.7T, 2000 in my case), I’d love any extra tidbits you have – e.g. Sylvania part number, etc.
Thanks
